Dear Friends of Pro Sanctity,
The world drastically changed on September 11, 2001. The events of that day have clearly shown that hatred is still a significant reality in this third Christian millennium. Many means have been attempted throughout history to do away with the power of evil, but only one way has proven to be victorious – the way of Jesus Christ. His way is the way of holiness, and each one of us is called to follow the Lord according to the example that he set for us.
The members of the Pro Sanctity Movement try to progress each day in the way of holiness, but we pause in a special way on All Saints Day to celebrate the Universal Day of Sanctification. Our founder, Bishop Giaquinta, chose November 1st as a feast day for Pro Sanctity since every Christian is called to become a saint.
Enclosed you will find some resources with suggestions for celebrating the Universal Day of Sanctification. The theme this year is “Holiness in Daily Life”. I would encourage you to use these resources within your community, and to share them with families and friends. On behalf of the Pro Sanctity Movement, I thank you for anything you can do to help us promote the universal call to holiness among our brothers and sisters.
Unfortunately, we have probably not seen the end of terrorism and hatred in our world. Since the family is the most basic unit within our society, anything that we can do to help parents and children to embrace God’s way instead of the ways of hatred and bitterness will have a lasting effect in our communities and in the world. May God bless you for all that you do to be a minister of God’s faith, hope and love.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
