Dear Counselors and interested friends,

 

      Believe it or not, Camp Fun & Faith 2003 is around the corner, and little girls will be pouring into Camp before we know it!  Start thinking now which session you want and what you want to do during camp. We are expanding our positions and hopefully - as a result of past evaluations, helping to clarify responsibilities better. Feel free to invite other friends and resource people to help. Invite them to a planning session.  No cost for counselors and staff persons, but they must fill out this form.

      We are enclosing a list of Camp Dates and the application. We hope to have all positions filled on or by the Valentine Tea on February 16, 2003!

Camp Fun and Faith 2003 - Sailing the Seas with Saints!

Positions Available for Camp Fun & Faith and for the Little Flower Day Camp:

 

Kitchen Staff

We need a Head cook, Assistant cook and a kitchen assistant for each day of camp. Staff is welcome to sign up for one day or a whole week.

 

Camp Nurses/MD

Responsible for camp’s medical and health services, including administering medications and first aid, implementing physician’s standing orders and camp health procedures. Must be a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska. Must carry professional liability coverage.

 

Resource Staff

Crafts Staff: Responsible to organize specific games throughout the week and be available during free time to play with the girls.  Special Events Staff  This year we have taken the theme of “Sailing the Seas with Saints”. We are looking for special games, story telling, puppets, drama, artists, special crafts, etc.  Craft  Resource Staff:  Responsible for the organization and execution of crafts for the week and especially on Wednesday.

 

We will need: Craft Resource Assistants, Spiritual Resource Assistants, Sports & Games Staff Outdoor Grounds Staff . … Call or write if you want to volunteer part time!

 

Directors: We need two per week.

Senior Director: Must be 19 years old and have at least two years of  Camp experience

Responsible for the overall organization.

Junior  Director: Must be 18 years old and have at least two years of Camp experience. Responsible for care of  campers assigned to cabin or dorm unit or special projects (i.e. House, Kids, Barn Activities) Attends to daily needs of campers. Supervises counselor staff assigned to her area.

 

Counselors

Must have completed 10th grade . Assist in daily care of campers.  Works with assigned Director..

 

Counselor In Training (CIT)

Must be ninth grade or older and have Camp experience of at least 2 years. Only those who have shown leadership potential will be considered for limited positions. Sign up for a week of Camp Fun “N” Faith and you will be given different opportunities during the week to learn about being a Counselor.

 

The Little Flower Day Camp Staff:

Staff hours are:

                MORNING DAY CAMP: 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  

AFTERNOON DAY CAMP: 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

We Need: One director, Senior and Junior counselors needed. We want fifth grade on up as helpers and CIT’s and Counselors.  This is a great way to get experience working with children. Volunteers also needed for Crafts games, kitchen ( light snack and lunch). Great first time leadership opportunity.
